My work is an investigation into the role of the Artist in society and in particular relationship between art work and what an Artist need to sustain him/herself.
To explore this I approach people in areas of work not usually associated with art, for example; farmers, and offer to produce artwork in exchange for food.
This enables me to;
- Connect and make likes with non art people
- Learn about different people.
- Earn food to sustain me for my work.
For doing this I hoppe to;
- Help the farmer to look at himself, his work environment differently.
I so doing this help’s my art to become useful and part of life rather than simply feed into the gallery/ artist as superstar culture.
